Documentation and DocOps
Sauce Labs is a SaaS company that provides continuous testing solutions. They specialize in cloud-based automated testing for web and mobile applications.
During my tenure at Sauce Labs, I excelled as a Senior Technical Content Writer before transitioning into the role of a DevOps Engineer specializing in DocOps and implementing docs-as-code solutions. In these positions, I had the privilege of crafting and maintaining comprehensive documentation that empowers developers and testers worldwide.
My work includes creating actionable documentation that provides clear and concise guidance on utilizing Sauce Labs' robust SaaS platform, as well as developing detailed longform content that delves into the intricacies of the APIs and CLI tools.
I touched or edited virtually every page of the docs site, but below are some work samples.
Docs as Code
Beyond writing, I transitioned into a DevOps engineering role focused on modernizing the documentation pipeline. The goal was to eliminate the lag between product releases and published docs by treating the docsite as software.
This involved rebuilding and automating the docs infrastructure using:
- Docusaurus — migrated the docsite to a React-based static site generator, enabling a fully version-controlled, developer-friendly authoring workflow
- Algolia — integrated search indexing to keep discovery fast and accurate as content scaled
- Terraform — provisioned and managed infrastructure as code, enabling repeatable, auditable deployments
The result was a continuous deployment pipeline that shipped doc updates in lockstep with product releases — cutting manual overhead and eliminating the "docs are always behind" problem.

Note about the Samples
I’m no longer a contributor or maintainer on this project. Since my departure the site has changed significantly, so the samples linked here may look or read differently than when I authored them.
